Demand of local people to clear the unusable trees from both sides of Albha-Gandakia road

Albha-Gandakia road under Pattamundai PWD division of Kendrapada district is covered with unusable trees on both sides of 9 k.m long. Due to its coverage, minor accidents occur every day during traffic. When snakes and venomous snakes nest, they come out to the both sides of road at night . They also pose a danger to pedestrians It has been alleged that govt. funds being spent to clear all these unusable trees, but false bills have been prepared without clearing the unusable trees. Even though local people have drawn attention to the departmental officials to clear the same but no one is listening which is causing dissatisfaction among the general public. Alva-Gandakia road is one of the most important road which connects form Pattamundai to Kendrapada & it also connects Pattamundai-Rajnagar & Babar. Thousands of vehicles, passenger buses and cargo trucks crosses the road daily. School & College going students travel to Pattamundai for their study purpose. In this situation the local people of side by area of the road including social workers Prafulla Dash, Kshirod Malik, Prakash Pradhan, Pareshwar Sethi, Prafulla Tarai, Bijay Das, Surendra Parida have demanded to clear the unusable trees immediately from both sides of this important road.
